The True Meaning of Rat Race
The other day I was talking to my neighbor and he was telling me how he hate his job. Then he went on to talk about corporate politics and how ridiculous all this is, and I’m just standing there listening to him.
But then he said something I didn’t like. He said, “it is what it is, what can you do about it?”
Here’s a guy who is in his late 40’s, he is a professional accountant, with 20+ years of experience, drives one hour each way, to work in a place where you have to be very careful what you say and be very careful not to step on anyones toe.
Tip toe your way in the corporate world for the next 40 years until you retire… if they don’t lay you off first.
And to many, that is considered success… really?
There Is No Such Thing As A Good Job
Here are a few things I like to share with you…
- I am very happy and blessed to have found an opportunity that forever will change my life. I got the entrepreneurial bug and made the decision that I will not be part of the rat race.
- I didn’t let any rejections, ridicules, setbacks stop me. I didn’t let any of it stop me from moving forward.
- This is the best business opportunity in the world… hands down. I’m talking about a business where you can wake up anytime you want, do whatever you want to do in the day and have fully control of your paycheck.
But You Have A Choice
You can choose the internet lifestyle (fast track) or you can choose to stay at your job (rat race) and play by their rules, their terms that have for you… not yours.
If you choose the internet lifestyle (freedom), you have responsibilities.
There are choices you need to make everyday that will either move you forward or be left behind.
You have a choice to discipline yourself everyday to do the things you MAY NOT feel like doing.
You have a choice to burn the bridges, even if it gets hard.
Last… you have a choice to keep going even if everyone quits… and a lot will.
You have a choice.
