The Mind of Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs is one of the greatest icons in high technology. He is known for his legendary ability to create groundbreaking, innovative, products that changed people lives. But Steve was not just a pioneer in computer technology… he was a pioneer in the technology of the brain.
Steve used the sitting meditation called zazen to help reduce stress and have more clarity for the mind which helps with creativity.
I was once watching the movie “Jobs” and what I liked about that movie is that it had a lot of philosophy. One that caught my attention was when Steve said this:
“Be as simple as you can be. You’ll be astonished to see how uncomplicated and happy your life can become.”
When I heard this I immediately paused the movie, ran into my room to find a notepad and a pen, rewind the movie a little and wrote it down. I wrote it down because it is so true. So many people try to complicate simplicity.
MEDITATION DOES WORKS
There has been studies that proves that meditation techniques that have been around for thousands of years have beneficial effects on both… your body and mind.
Meditation has gotten so popular over the years that now big companies like Target, Google, GM, and Ford, are teaching their employees to meditate that Steve Jobs embraced a long time ago.
If you have not yet started meditating, now it’s the time. If you are an entrepreneur you definitely need it. I can’t promise you that you will be as creative as Steve Jobs, but I can promise you from my own experience that meditation will change your life for the better.
